Fernando Pericin

Fernando Hisatoni Pericin é artista visual e pesquisador. Doutorando em Artes Visuais pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB), na linha de Arte e Tecnologia, investiga as bandeiras como símbolos de identidade, pertencimento e ativismo político. Mestre pela mesma instituição, desenvolveu o projeto “Dentro, Fora, em Torno do Armário: uma arte para viver, sobreviver, existir e resistir ao desaparecimento”, na linha Poéticas Transversais. Vive e trabalha em Brasília, onde também concluiu a licenciatura em Artes Visuais (2017) e atuou como tutor na UAB/UnB. É bacharel em Letras pela Universidade de Franca (2003).

A produção de Fernando é diversa e em constante expansão, transitando entre o vídeo, a instalação, a fotografia, a arte digital e outras linguagens híbridas. Embora sua pesquisa atual se concentre nas bandeiras e em seus desdobramentos políticos e simbólicos, sua trajetória artística se caracteriza pela experimentação formal e conceitual, explorando diferentes materiais, técnicas e escalas. Seus trabalhos refletem o interesse por temas como corpo, território, identidade e memória — sempre em diálogo com as tensões entre arte, tecnologia e sociedade.

Em suas investigações visuais, Fernando busca capturar o ritmo invisível da vida: fluxos urbanos, presenças fugidias e histórias que insistem em existir. Suas obras provocam empatia e questionamento, tensionando a percepção e ampliando o olhar sobre o cotidiano. A arte, em sua prática, é tanto abrigo quanto provocação — um espaço onde se pode imaginar, resistir e transformar.

Com trabalhos apresentados no Brasil e no exterior, Fernando participou de exposições e projetos em instituições como o Museu Nacional da República, a Galeria Décimo e a Casa de Cultura da América Latina, além de mostras internacionais na Espanha e na Nova Zelândia. Sua trajetória une pesquisa acadêmica e prática artística, construindo pontes entre pensamento crítico, experiência sensível e criação contemporânea.

Fernando Hisatoni Pericin is a visual artist and researcher. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Visual Arts at the University of Brasília (UnB), in the Art and Technology research line, where he investigates flags as symbols of identity, belonging, and political activism. He holds a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the same institution, where he developed the project “Inside, Outside, and Around the Closet: an art to live, survive, exist, and resist disappearance”, within the Transversal Poetics line. He lives and works in Brasília, where he also completed a degree in Visual Arts (2017) and worked as a tutor at UAB/UnB. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Literature from the University of Franca (2003).

Fernando’s artistic production is diverse and continuously evolving, moving across video, installation, photography, digital art, and other hybrid media. Although his current research focuses on flags and their political and symbolic dimensions, his artistic trajectory is marked by formal and conceptual experimentation, exploring a range of materials, techniques, and scales. His works often reflect an interest in themes such as body, territory, identity, and memory — always in dialogue with the intersections between art, technology, and society.

Through his visual investigations, Fernando seeks to capture the invisible rhythm of life: urban flows, fleeting presences, and stories that insist on existing. His works invite empathy and critical reflection, challenging perception and expanding our view of the everyday. In his practice, art becomes both shelter and provocation — a space to imagine, resist, and transform.

With works exhibited in Brazil and abroad, Fernando has participated in exhibitions and projects at institutions such as the National Museum of the Republic, Galeria Décimo, and the Casa de Cultura da América Latina, as well as in international events in Spain and New Zealand. His trajectory bridges academic research and artistic practice, weaving together critical thought, sensory experience, and contemporary creation.
